The North Alabama game.

While it doesn't count in the standings, the basketball seasons begins Sunday afternoon with an exhibition game against Division II North Alabama. UNA has a fairly strong history, with two Division II championships to its credit. Although the top two scorers graduated, UNA returns one guy who scored in double figures last season, Quinn Beckwith. UNA's coach is named Bobby Champagne, which would be the best name on the team if it weren't for junor guard Phil Collins. Champagne worked as an assistant at Washington State for Kelvin Sampson. The Lions went 15-14 last season. The game airs at noon on Sunday on the Big Ten Network.
